Superman Returns – Discussion Resource
Apologies for taking an extra 24 hours, but here’s the discussion resource on the Superman Returns movie.I hope it’s helpful, if you use it or have anything you’d like to add please let me know.
Also check out Craig Detweiler’s article titled “Just When We Need Him” on the new-look Hollywood Jesus website, it’s a great read, especially for those outside of America wanting to discuss the America-centredness of the Superman/Savior figure, and perhaps how that might also link with the possible American-centredness of the Christ/Savior figure. Speaking of which did you know that previous directors had resigned over an argument that a movie that’s about an American Mythical Hero shouldn’t have been filmed in Australia?
While I’m on the topic, I like the new look of the HWJesus Website, being fuelled by cold fusion and having been professionally designed it’s much better to look at than before, (and probably much more expensive) however I’d like to complain that all the old resources I’ve created that linked to their website are now incorrect, and I’m not sure about the permalink structure (previous links looked like this – http://www.hollywoodjesus.com/spider-man_2.htm – while now they look like this – http://www.hollywoodjesus.com/movieDetail.cfm?i=8E7DD8E2-C7B1-4A6E-CC9388EC3F4847CE&ia=DF462614-B951-059D-04D181A95977BA51 ), it seems too long for my liking, maybe they’ll change that sometime during the redesign…
